Anthony and Alannah’s wedding at Syon Park
I love shooting weddings with a personal touch, and Anthony and Alannah’s wedding was certainly one of those! Apart from being an absolutely glorious summers day, weather wise, they’d met whilst at school and so chose to hold their ceremony in the school’s chapel, before their reception at the stunning surroundings of Syon Park.
Kids at weddings are great fun, and throughout this particular wedding you’ll notice them popping up time and time again! They often create the funniest moments, and although they may not know quite what’s going on they can usually be relied on to say or do something at either the wrong or right time.
Although my photographic coverage on the day of the wedding is almost totally unposed, I do understand the need, and enjoy, doing the more formal portraits that almost every couple (and their parents) want. Here we used the Long Hall at Syon Park. We traveled ahead of the guests from church so that we were able to do these shots quickly and so that Anthony and Alannah were able to greet their guests as they arrived.
The conservatory at Syon Park is a stunning space and having been led by the band all the way from the main house, the wedding guests on this occasion were suitably impressed. It’s even possible to hold an outdoor ceremony in front of the conservatory.
At night time the conservatory at Syon Park transforms into the most amazing party venue. The lasers, coloured lights and mirror ball make what was, by day, a tranquil airy space, into a glamorous night club. An amazing live band like this one also helps!
“I’d love to hear about your wedding plans.”
