A Jamaican Wedding in Farnham
Nathan and Shanice chose the glorious Froyle Park in Hampshire as their wedding reception venue, and it was here that I started my photographic coverage of their day, before moving onto their church ceremony in the heart of Farnham. The quaint market town of Farnham is somewhere I always love to return to, as I spent a very happy three years of my life at the art college in the town. The iconic Spire Church in the centre of town was the setting for Nathan & Shanice’s beautiful ceremony.
Having the space and freedom to move quietly around the ceremony space, allows me to capture a range of moments and respond creatively to the elements of a church ceremony, which has so many amazing elements to photograph. This ceremony really was a celebration, and a lovely way to begin the day.
From Farnham, it was only a short drive back to Froyle Park where there were canapes and rum punch to welcome the wedding guests. We were able to grab a few portraits and time to enjoy the stunning grounds of Froyle Park, before entering into the wedding reception where we were all entertained by many speeches. The sheer number of friends and family that wanted to say a few words really demonstrated just how much love there was for the newlyweds, and set things up perfectly for a fab party that was to follow.
