We booked David as our photographer for our June wedding in Richmond and we cannot recommend him highly enough! From our first call with him he was always friendly, very helpful and available to answer any questions/requests we had. He understood exactly what we were after in terms of photography style, coverage, group and staged shots and if we weren’t sure about anything, we were more than happy to take his advice. On the day, he seemed to be everywhere capturing all the shots and moments we’d asked for, and when it came to group and staged photos he was very effective, meaning that they didn’t take all day to set up and arrange! Afterwards, he sent us a few sample pics the next day and then got the full albums to us within a couple of weeks. The main challenge since has been narrowing down which photos we want to share and print from the literally hundreds of great shots he got! Overall, our experience with David was five star from start to finish. He was communicative, helpful, and is a very talented and experienced photographer. We discovered David on instagram after our photographer cancelled on us with only a few months to go until our wedding, and it turned out to be one of the best things that happened to us! David was so easy to work with, from the very first video meeting to the day itself. We picked David to be the photographer at our wedding after seeing his photos at a wedding venue. He captures beautiful, genuine candid moments perfectly and he didn't disappoint at all. David captured the spirit and atmosphere of our wedding perfectly. Right from the start David took the time to learn about us both, our preferences for the wedding and what sort of people we were. He carefully listened and it meant that on the day he needed no direction as to what we wanted captured, and instead focused on capturing beautiful moments and pictures of our family and friends. David was very subtle and gentle on the day meaning that even camera shy people were happy to have their photos taken. I was really impressed with the level of care David took to ensure we had the photos we wanted, not just the 'usual' key moments. David sent the edited photos quickly and they are perfect. He has captured unseen, chance moments in his documentary style, and also wonderful family photos to capture the day. Throughout the process what impressed us so much is how personable and open he has been. It made us feel very relaxed with David and ensured he captured such a personal day. After the original photographers we had booked for our wedding did not turn up, my makeup artist managed to get hold of David with less than an hours notice before our ceremony. We were so incredibly lucky he was not booked that day, turned up just in time and captured beautiful photos with absolutely no direction - he just knew exactly what we would have wanted. We booked David for our end of November wedding, and we were very impressed with his work. We had a meeting with David before the ceremony for him to learn what we liked, and it's clear he understood the assignment. Neither my wife nor I like being the centre of attention and, with the exception of the customary posed photos, we asked for candid photos of the day. We discovered David after a recommendation by another photographer who was unable to make the date of our wedding. This turned out to be a blessing, as after a Zoom call we found that he was an excellent choice. David managed to combine the rare qualities of being both unobtrusive and helpful at the same time. We wanted a more documentary style to our wedding with few staged images which David produced immaculately He then asked during a natural lull if he could take a couple of photos of us as a couple, something we wouldn’t have considered but which turned out to be an excellent idea as they proved to be a superb addition, tying together the record of our day. David is a wonderful photographer but significantly, he is also a very kind person which you cannot underestimate the importance of on what is a frantic day. He is very calm and patient. The photos are sensational - natural expressions picked up very well and he comes very reasonably priced in our view. He communicates very well which is not always the case with vendors and he provided us with 15 great preview photos in under 48 hours from the wedding with the remainder coming through a few short weeks later.
