The Old Barn Oxted Wedding Photography
The wedding photography below at the Old Barn in Oxted was my first time at this wonderful homely venue. I’d visited the venue a few weeks ahead of my first The Old Barn Oxted Wedding Photography, which is something I like to do with a new venue, and I was so looking forward to seeing the space filled with people and a warm atmosphere that’s typical of a winter wedding. I wasn’t at all dissapointed of course. This particular wedding was my final one of the year, and it was a great way to end the wedding season.
My day began with photos of the bride and groom getting ready, surrounded by friends and family and a lot of laughter. I very quickly got a feeling for the vibe of the whole wedding and decided to go with it! The ceremony was so romantic and festive, and only a short drive from The Old Barn Oxted. One of my favourite shots from the ceremony very quickly made it onto my homepage!
Arriving at The Old Barn Oxted with the couple meant that we had a little time for portraits before it got dark, and then we headed into the barn where a violin player was providing the tunes and everyone was chatting away. It was wonderful to have time to capture lots of activity and even capture behind the scenes as delicious food was prepared for all the guests.
The couple had also done handwritten cards for each of their guests. It was great to see the reactions, and after being treated to some very special speeches it was time to head outside into the dark for sparklers, while the barn was quickly turned around for the evening party. A family friend took to the decks and got the party started, which was still going strong when I said my goodbyes and hung up my cameras for a while over the festive season.
