Ufton Court Wedding Photography
As we come to the end of another summer season of weddings, it’s time to look back and today blog one of my favourite weddings of the summer, Sara and Alastair’s Ufton Court Wedding Photography. When I first met with Sara and Ali, their plan was to marry in church and hold their reception at Sandhurst Military Academy in Berkshire, where Ali had undergone his training. Plans changed though, and the reception was help at the gorgeous Ufton Court near Reading. I can’t say I was disappointed with the change, as Ufton Court is a venue that long been on my wish list of wedding venues in the South East.

Reflecting on the 2018 summer of weddings I’m struck, not only by the amazing weather we had, but how fortunate I am to work with such great couples, and in turn their family and friends. Sara and Ali were a perfect example of this. They were so chilled out all day, from the laughter and giggles during the ceremony (the vicar was a family friend and took it all in his stride) to the garden games at Ufton and the inevitable banter that takes place between Ali’s officer friends. At every point during their Ufton Court wedding photography there were great photo opportunities that lent themselves so well to my unobtrusive story telling approach to capturing the day. Another feature of my 2018 weddings has been the growing number of bride speeches (something that I’m totally in favour of) and Sara didn’t let us down! The internet will probably tell brides that they need to get in a joke about “having the last word”, but Sara’s was totally authentic and from the heart, and had more than a few of their guests blubbing and comforting each other with hugs afterwards.
To say the evening went off with a bang, would be an understatement! Due in no small part to The Salvation, who’s tag line on their website describes them as “probably the best wedding band in the world” (they might just be right!) the dance floor was packed throughout their set, and they brought everyone together in an amazing way for the culmination of my Ufton Court wedding photography. It was a beautiful celebration of the day we’d all been a part of, and guys, you really know how to party!!
