The Sail Loft Wedding Photography, Greenwich

I’m dipping back into my recent archive of weddings for this blog post, to celebrate the fact that The Sail Loft in Greenwich have very kindly made me one of their recommended photographers. I’ve titled this post “The Sail Loft Wedding Photography, Greenwich” but in fact the day started with a ceremony for close family and friends at Greenwich Registry Office, before a cab ride over to Greenwich Park for a relaxed portrait session with just the bride and groom. 

It wasn’t until much later in the afternoon that we made the short walk along the River Thames to The Sail Loft, that describes itself on their website as, “Serving up fresh food and fabulous drinks with a side order of stunning views. Drink or dine at the water’s edge courtesy of our beautiful outdoor terrace, or enjoy the panoramic cityscape from our first-floor dining area.” For this wedding reception the couple had indeed hired the whole of the first floor, and as you can see for some of my pictures below, the positioning on the banks of the Thames does indeed lead to a stunning view in both directions along the river. As for the interior, the nautical/industrial vibe of the decor gives the space a very modern edge, whiles also giving a nod to the seafaring heritage of the area, and the beautiful flower arrangements that you see below were all done courtesy of the wonderful Hannah Jordan Flowers who’s wedding I happen to hae photographed a few years earlier at Clifton Nurseries.

For anyone new to London, the nearby Cutty Sark, is just a few minutes from The Sail Loft, and is well worth a visit. I absolutely love photographing London weddings and I’m looking forward to many more at The Sail Loft.
