Lake Garda Wedding Photographer

Are you looking for a Lake Garda Wedding Photographer? Crucial to the way I photograph weddings is that I don’t approach the day with too many preconceived ideas about what’s in store, and the shots I want to get. That’s not to say of course that I don’t scout out locations and put a lot of thought into my photography, but my reportage style means that I need to be ready for when the unexpected happens too! Never was this theory put to the test more than on the morning of Jonny and Steph’s wedding when I arrived at the house where Steph was getting ready, along with the rest of her family and her niece and nephews. To say that it was chaos would be putting it mildly, but it was a great way for the kids to become familiar with me, and these are some of my favourite pictures from the day. Thankfully, there was still plenty of time to get some nice pictures of Steph as she made the final touches in her Claire Pettibone dress before leaving for the ceremony.

Having photographed a wedding at Malcesine Castle before (which you can see here) I knew just what a stunning venue it was, and so when Jonny and Steph first got in touch back in January, I was over the moon. They’d seen my first pictures and really appreciated my candid approach to wedding photography. Being familiar with a wedding venue is of course a huge advantage, particularly when shooting abroad and there are flights and accommodation to consider, but I was keen not to repeat all the same shots that I’d taken on my first visit to Lake Garda. We managed to find some secluded portrait locations that I’d not discovered on my first visit, and because other locations, such as the Al Corsaro restaurant, where Jonny and Steph held their reception, were different than before, I was able to create a truly unique set of pictures for them.
