Barn Wedding Near Guildford
Chris and Kristina’s Gate Street Barn wedding near Guildford was the first wedding I’ve shot at the barn since their beautiful renovations earlier in the year. I was really excited to see what additional photo opportunities the changes to Gate Street Barn (an already wonderful wedding venue) would create, inside and in the glorious outdoor space surrounding the venue. We couldn’t have been luckier with the weather and at every stage of the day we were blessed with perfect light flooding into the barn and adding to the joy on everyones’ faces.

To be honest, I don’t think either Chris or Kristina would have been affected by the weather, they were both enjoying every second of the day so much! For me the day started with both bride and groom getting ready at separate locations at Gate Street Barn, Chris in the house and Kristina in the bridal room in the barn. Being able to capture shots of both him and her during this part of the day is always so much fun, and I regularly get asked how the other is doing “is she nervous?” “did he cry when he opened his gift?” etc!

As ceremony time approached there was just time for a few reassuring hugs once Kristina was in her dress from Bride by Astor, Dorking, before guests began to arrive. Configuring the seating in the barn as they did meant that the ceremony was flooded with beautiful diffused light where later in the day the head table would also be positioned. The perfect day continued catered by Kalm Kitchen with an outdoor cake cutting (more of that please) and party tunes courtesy of Chris at Chess Disco, always a pleasure to work with.
