Top 10 Guildford Wedding Venues

Sharon and Mark’s epic Guildford wedding used not 1, not 2, but 3 beautiful Guildford wedding venues, which prompted me to make this post about my top 10 Guildford wedding venues. Their day started with Sharon getting ready in a stunning Air B&B in nearby in Woking, while Mark got ready with family at home in Guildford, before meeting up with friend at Ye Olde Ship Inn just opposite the Guildford Register Office. The Register office in Guildford, which also known as Artington House is famed for being the place where Peter Sellers and Britt Ekland married in the 60s.

After a lovely ceremony with plenty of laughter, we jumped in a white wedding cab for the short drive into Guildford town centre, where we pulled the cab off the main road to get a few portraits in front of Guildford castle. Conveniently the venue for their reception was The Ivy, which is just across the road, and has a stunning private dining room with a lovely balcony that overlooks the Castle grounds.

After a delicious three course meal, and great speeches, it was time for location number 3! We took a romantic evening walk up the iconic Guildford high street, including stopping off for a few portraits, on our way to The Long Bar. The Long Bar, adjacent to, and part of The Harbour Hotel is a great party venue, where more evening guests were there waiting for the happy couple to party late into the night!
