Reportage Wedding Photography In Kent
So here’s the thing, it sometimes rains at weddings in this country! Yeh, I know right! After all those months of planning, the one thing that you can’t control, might feel as though it’s going to spoil your big day. Not so if you ask me (and I do get asked a lot!). As with Charlie and Melissa’s reportage wedding photography in Kent, it will simply bring everyone closer together, and create some great opportunities for some unique photos. Rain on your wedding day is even considered good luck by some, and there will always be an opportunity to get some nice portraits and do the all important group shots.
Reportage Wedding Photography In Kent
In this blog post I’ve chosen to focus on what could be thought of as the in-between moments. In many ways, these less conventional wedding moments are what will make your set of wedding pictures unique. Whether the sun is shining down on you, or there are a few spots of rain, or if your wedding is in the depths of winter, I’m always reminded of the quote from John Lennon when he said, “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.” The plans on the wedding day are to exchange rings, sign the register, and cut the cake, but there is so much life going on in every corner of the church, garden or marquee that it seems a shame to let these moments go un-documented.
I will of course be alert to all the key moments and traditions of the wedding day, which you can see in some of my other blog posts, and take the time for a relaxed portrait session with my couples, but I’m all about treating each wedding I photograph as a unique day. Different from all the rest, rain or shine!
A special thank you must go to Mona Ali for assisting me on the day, and also capturing lots of wonderful moments.
“WOW! Thank you, they are lovely!!! You really did capture the day.”
