Getting Married at RHS Garden Wisley
What an epic day, being there to witness Suzi and Patrick getting married at RHS Garden Wisley. For me the day began with some pictures of Suzi and the girls getting ready and having their hair and makeup done by the brilliant Amanda Durkin, before we made our way to Weybridge Register Office for an intimate legal ceremony with just the couple and the closest family and friends. Weybridge Register Office holds a special place in my heart, as it was where I photographed my sister getting married over ten years ago.
Fast forward to Suzi and Patricks big day, and the sense of excitement was just the same. Everyone had beaming smiles across their faces throughout, and it was a great indication for me of how the second ceremony, and the rest of the day, would be, when they’d be doing it all again, and getting married at RHS Garden Wisley in front of a larger gathering of friends and family.
Getting Married at RHS Garden Wisley
As a wedding photographer based in Guildford, I get to shoot at some pretty extraordinary wedding venues (check them out here), but when Suzi and Patrick first got in touch with me and told me about their plans for getting married at RHS Garden Wisley, a beautiful outdoor wedding venue, I just knew it was going to be one of the most amazing weddings of the year, and of course it was!
Not only the location of RHS Gardens Wisley, but their boundless excitement and joy were infectious, and the fact that so many of their friends were directly involved in various parts of the day, I thought spoke volumes about the amount of love that everyone feels for them. Nowhere was this more clearly demonstrated than when, what would otherwise have been a very understated entrance into the glasshouse at Wisley, turned into the most emotional moment of the day, as Suzi and Patrick caught sight of the surprise patchwork mural that each of their guests had contributed to, what an amazing gesture!
The glass house at RHS Wisley is the most amazing space to hold a wedding reception, real wow factor and totally unique, and Suzi and Patrick made the most of it! After fantastic speeches, Caribanda got everyone dancing with amazing latin sounds that filled the air, followed by a DJ set that kept the party going strong. If you’re thinking of getting married at RHS Garden Wisley I’d love to hear from you.
“Not only can David deliver the most beautiful and natural photos, he is also incredibly professional, a joy to work with and a lovely bloke. We are so happy with our photos, he perfectly captured our day (whilst not getting in the way!) and we will treasure them forever.”
