Winter Wedding at Loseley

Friday the 13th, in the depths of winter, might seem like an odd date to choose for your wedding if you’re at all suspicious (and Emily and Daniel were certainly faced with one or two setbacks in planning their wedding) but when the day finally arrived, the house and grounds at Loseley Park were bathed in the most beautiful winter sun, and the day passed by with only the lightest of rain showers! In this highlights blog post of their ceremony, see how Emily and Daniel’s winter wedding photography at Loseley Park Surrey, is done in my own unique photojournalistic style to capture all the emotion of the occasion. The great hall forming the perfect backdrop for family and friends to come together to witness the marriage ceremony.

Winter Wedding at Loseley

Situated just minutes from my home, The present house was built between 1562 and 1568 with stone brought from the ruins of Waverley Abbey. The new house replaced a smaller one which Elizabeth I declared was not ‘adequate’ for her to visit and requested something larger be built. The great hall is the principal room containing panelling from Henry VIII’s Nonsuch Palace, a minstrel’s gallery, carvings by Grinling Gibbons, panels from Henry VIII’s banqueting tents and a collection of royal and family portraits.

Winter weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and with camera and lens technology developing all the time we’re able to capture the distinctive winter light and photograph in even the darkest of wedding venues. If you enjoy my winter wedding photography at Loseley Park Surrey and would like to check my availability for your own wedding, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
