Let’s Get Married In A Castle!

If you’re at that early stage in your wedding planning and said to your partner “let’s get married in a castle”, or ever whispered it quietly to yourself, then look no further, Farnham Castle has you covered! As you can see from the photos below, the couple, and friends are able to get ready in different parts of the venue, and spend the whole day from prep to party at this amazing venue.

This colourful wedding was such a joy to photograph, due in no small part to the bridesmaids’ outfits and the very fashionable guests that had travelled all the way from Brazil. I’ve shot quite a number of weddings at Farnham Castle over the years. It’s a venue twenty minutes from my home in Guildford, and it’s one of my all time favourites.

Photographing at the same venue repeatedly, can come with it’s challenges though. I want to keep my photography fresh, and while there are certain shots you’d rightly expect any professional photographer to capture, I also want to respond creatively to the couple I see in front of my lens on the day of their wedding. A venue of the size and grandeur of Farnham Castle allows for these creative and compositional flourishes, and I love it!
