Built in 1705 for the Churchill family, it originally served as a private residence and later became closely associated with nobility and distinguished guests visiting nearby Windsor and Ascot. Over the centuries, the estate evolved through various owners, retaining much of its Georgian character while being expanded and modernised to suit changing needs.

Eventually transformed into a hotel, the Royal Berkshire preserved its historic architecture, grand gardens, and stately ambience, blending heritage with contemporary comfort. Today, it stands as a testament to its rich past, offering visitors a glimpse into its aristocratic history within a warm and elegant setting.
