Upwaltham Barns Wedding Photography
Upwaltham Barns is an absolutely stunning wedding venue situated in the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park in West Sussex. This was my second Upwaltham Barns Wedding Photography, and sadly the weather on this occasion wasn’t exactly on our side, but it didn’t stop Gemma and Anthony and their guests having a great time. I felt I know the family quite well, having already photographed a family wedding a couple of years earlier at Loseley Park, so it was no surprise that they didn’t let a few drops of rain spoil their day.
In fact the natural light coming into the barn means that even on an overcast day, the quality of light is beautiful to photograph, and under the right circumstances can really make colours pop and is really flattering. Upwaltham Barns is such a beautiful venue, whichever direction you turn, with colour and texture that make such a great photographic backdrop. Gemma and Anthony’s day followed a traditional format, but with a lot of laughter and game of beer pong, so it was inevitable that the dance floor was going to be packed all evening!
5 Reasons I Love Upwaltham Barns Wedding Photography
- The colour and textures of the beautifully restored barns and gardens make Upwaltham Barns wedding photography so enjoyable.
- The scale of the venue is such that it’s all your guests are together, and yet that are spaces for each part of the day, and room to get ready onsite.
- Weather permitting, the fields around Upwaltham Barns, make from an epic portrait shoot, and a chance for the two of you to have a bit of time to yourselves.
- Upwaltham Barn’s is big enough to host large numbers of up to 150 daytime guests.
- The Barns transform wonderfully from day to evening with a bar and covered ‘Snug’ area not too far from the dancefloor!
